PMS sneak peek day 3 - a very black suede combo!

Hello everyone! For my sneak peek today i decided to use this week color combo challenge from splitcoast! Very Vanilla, Black and Soft Suede! There is a bonus dessert option of adding a dash of glitz which can be another color. Can you spot it on my card?

Did you see it yet? Maybe this second photo will help...

Yep, i covered the period of the sentence with a pink rhinestone. It's just a little something. :)

For the nestie, i love the labels, but i dont like that they are spaced so far apart, you dont really get a mat. So after cutting it out, i embossed it. Then took a black copic marker (any marker would do) and just colored in the non raised edge. It gives a perfect mat! I definitely recommend embossing it to do this so you know where to color! :)

PMS sneak peek day 2!

It's day 2 of the sneak peeks for paper makeup stamps! It's also FAIRY DAY! :) i love fairy day. This month is no exception to my love for fairy day! You'll have to check out the PMS blog to see all of the fairies being released on December 7th! :)

Here is my card using Scott.

The name scott is near and dear to my heart. For one thing, my youngest son's middle name is scott. But we chose this as his middle name in memory of lost loved ones named scott. So when Diem drew up this cutie holding a candle, i just knew right away what i wanted to name him! So Scott was born!

If you paid attention to the sneak peeks on the PMS blog yesterday, you may have noticed this sentiment. It's from the Sailing By set that was sneak peeked yesterday. I just love how well all the different pieces of this release can work together! Now dont forget, there is a chance to win all these fairies over on the PMS blog, so go leave a comment!

And one more thing worth mentioning... since it's also saturday, that means it's another day to announce the PMS Countdown to Christmas sale! This week, all things holiday are 25% off. You'll need to use the coupon/voucher code holi25 to get the discount but it can be used with other vouchers. However, the sale is good for in stock merchandise only and when this stock sells out, it likely wont get restocked before the holidays! So get them now while you can!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!!!!

PMS December Sneak Peeks, Sailing By

Today is the first day of sneak peeks for Paper Makeup Stamps December Release!

This release is fun to me because it's themed! I always enjoy themed releases from other companies because I know i will find multiple uses for the stamps that way. I really like it when i can use a stamp from one set with a stamp from another set for some reason!

Well the theme for the Paper Makeup Stamps release this month is called Sailing By! Today's sneak is from the set also called Sailing by (my oh my, i'm original!) My dear friend and illustrator for PMS was the entire creator for this set! From it's conception down to the sentiments! And let me tell you, she did a fabulouso job!

Here is my card using just 1 of the 5 image stamps and 1 of the 5 sentiments included in this set....

I must say, with all the inks i own, i really should try to use solid stamps more often! hahaha! And i do like making my own background paper! I decided to stamp the anchor in Indian Corn Blue ink from Close to My Heart. But i didnt think it had quite enough pizazz so i added Glossy Accents by Ranger to the top of each one. Here's a better close up view!

My sentiment i simply stamped out onto white cardstock and then ran it thru my cuttlebug with the Ribbon Tags Trio. Then i left it in the nestie and used my copic airbrush and a B21 marker.

The buttons (from Hobby Lobby) i tied hemp thru to give it a more nautical feel.

Now don't forget to go to the Paper Makeup Stamps Blog to check out more fab creations using this stamp set! There is even a chance to win it, so go check it out!

My first blankie

Since God decided not to bless me with a little girl of my own to spoil (i did get 2 cutie little rascals though!), i get to spoil other little girls in my life. Like my bf's little sweetie pie who turned 1 last week! And she loves tags! So i tried to make my first taggie blanket. In this picture i think it look ok. But i think it's a good thing that it's going to a one year old who doesnt care if my sewing lines are straight! :)

Here is my taggie blanket...

Surprisingly enough, creating the quilt pattern was the easy part. The hard part was stitching the front and back together! (the back is minky dot fabric. I think my biggest error was not giving myself a big enough seam allowance along my edges. I gave myself more seam allowance with the quilting. :) So all in all, not terrible for my first one, but i think i need a lot of practice before i make any for anyone else! :)

Ok, time for bed for me! Sneak peeks for paper makeup stamps december release start tomorrow! :)

A little verve for you...

I have another verve card that i did last week for the Viva La Verve challenges. For those that followed their release last friday with their challenges... Julee has extended the deadline to tonight at midnight. Unfortunately for me I still have too much catch up to do! So i doubt i'll get in on the action, but check out the Verve Stamps Blog for details. :)

Here is my card...

Sorry for my not standard card set up. I was at my parents house so i didnt have more normal ghetto fab card picture taking equipment. hahahaha.

And another sorry, i dont have many details for this post since i was using my mom's papercrafting scraps! I can say that the stamp is from Verve's Beautiful You set. :)

Have a wonderful day!

A mug for ME!

So in a recent outing with my mommy playgroup... we went to a clay cafe. There are lots of them around, but basically you go on and paint on whatever pottery (at a price) and they glaze and fire it for you and then you go and pick it up. I've gone many times, but usually it's to make things with the kiddos handprints or footprints. Or make some other kind of gift item.

Well in my recent trip i did make a couple of gift items, but I also made a coffee mug for ME ME ME! I am overjoyed at my coffee mug. haha. The only thing i wish i had done better was in painting my lettering. Perhaps i should have used stamps! :)

Here is my mug...

It's really difficult to tell what my mug says in the pictures, but it reads "Makeup is Art!" And yes those lippie prints are mine. My friends sure got a good laugh at me painting my lips with painting glaze! hahahaha. I think i even had video of it somewhere on my computer. It was pretty funny and fun. :) But oh so worth it for my very one of a kind coffee mug! :)
